All robots are of the Machine type, and have no HEA attribute. A robot's frame has a minimum effective TOU of 1.

All robots need a core and a frame. A frame has a size, an expense, and a stoutness; it can have shape options. The default shell is light plastic, but most robots will also want a more durable shell material(multipliers apply to the frame to stat the frame+shell combination). Finally, one of each type of augment equipment can be installed at construction or after-market.

A sculpted robot is shaped in a non-utilitarian fashion - it looks like a lifeform, or whatever. (It needs appropriate devices to pull it off properly.) If shaped like a particularly streamlined lifeform or whatever(like a barracuda or shuriken), it must also be streamlined. Without synthflesh, this makes the robot look like an animate statue.

A streamlined robot has lower drag, increasing any ground move of 50' or more by 10% and any fly, swim, or burrow move of 25' or more by 20%.

* For normal use, a synthflesh shell requires the Sculpted option. It provides Lifelike Appearance DC 20, regardless of the robot's core, for purposes of appearance alone(i.e. excluding movement). Face-to-face in general, use the lower of this DC and the core's Lifelike Appearance DC. A synthflesh shell has a quarter the HP of the frame(before frame reinforcement), and for every 5 damage the robot takes, the synthflesh shell takes 1 damage. Frame plating doesn't protect synthflesh, and it has no shell DR. If the shell loses 25% or more of its HP, the robot's frame shows through its wounds — its disguise has been compromised, and it loses its visual Lifelike Appearance until its synthflesh shell is repaired to more than 75% HP. The synthflesh shell is destroyed and can't be repaired if it loses all its HP.

It takes a DC: 15 Repair check and an hour's work(×2 for each size larger than Medium, ×½ for each size smaller than Medium) to install or uninstall a robot's shell.

While a robot has no shell installed, it takes an hour's work and a DC: 10 Repair check to install or uninstall any of these; you can do up to one of each at a time, taking the same hour but with separate Repair checks.
